Temporary Public Policy Allows Visitors to Apply for a Work Permit in Canada

Post by : Admin on Dec 07,2022

According to a temporary public policy that has been issued recently, some temporary residents in Canada will be eligible to apply for a work permit. All visitors in Canada are allowed to apply for an employer-specific work permit. However, you can request interim authorization to work only if you have had a work permit in the past twelve months.

Canada has been facing labour shortage issues and economic gaps since the pandemic.

Are you living in Canada with a valid temporary resident status? Then this public policy provides you with an opportunity to apply inland for an employer-specific work permit. It became effective on 24th August 2020 and is being extended until 28th February, 2023.
